LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American professional basketball player that plays with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. The nickname is King James he is widely thought to be one of the best players of all time and has often been compared with Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player ever. James won two Olympic golds and four NBA championships. James had more points than any other player during the playoffs, has had the second most points in his career and has the seventh-highest number of career assists. The NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, a record. He was also selected for The NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. In total, he has been a part of 10 NBA Finals, the third-most ever. This includes eight straight from 2011 to 2018. James has been selected for the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player to have scored 10,000+ points, rebounds, and assists in his career in 2022. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High School near his hometown of Akron Ohio. His future NBA career was hyped by media. A prep-to-pro, he was picked to the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall selection in the 2003 NBA draft. In 2004, he received the title of NBA Rookie. He soon established himself as one of the top league players and was awarded the NBA MVP in both 2009 & 2010. James signed with the Miami Heat in 2010 when the team became a free agent after failing to achieve an NBA Championship in Cleveland. The announcement of his departure was broadcast in The Decision.
