Jessica Ellen Cornish is an English musician and singer who goes under the name Jessie J. Jessie's unique musical style that blends soul music, pop, electropop and hip-hop, has earned her notoriety from a young age. She has also earned several awards and nominations, for instance, the 'Critics Choice Brit Awards', and the BBC's Sound of 2011.' The career of Jessie began at the beginning of her 11th year when she was featured in "Whistle Down the Wind,' a musical produced by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. As of 2002, she was featured in"The Late Sleepers," a "National Youth Music Theatre" performance of "The Nightmares." She came into prominence in the year 2011 when she released her debut studio album 'Who You Are,' which came out on February 28. In the UK in particular, the album sold 105,000 copies, whereas in the US it was 34,000. It was also the top 2 on the UK Albums Chart' as well in the top 11 spot on the US Billboard 200.' Jessie is also famous for her work with charities, and has been involved with charities like Children in Need' and 'Comic Relief.'
