Four are her siblings from the previous marriage to Taylor's dad. The family was within Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria part of London. Taylor-Joy stated that her move was difficult and that she was unable to pursue a degree in English in the hope of go back to Argentina. Hill House became her school of choice after Taylor-Joy was ordered to move schools. Then she went to Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and was a part in productions. At the age of 16 she quit school in order in order to pursue acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy grew up as an actor and was sure she would eventually become one. The realization of her dreams came after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
